Know What This Site Actually Tracks
This page describes only the mechanisms that were verified when this site was built. Nothing here is a general promise beyond those mechanisms, and nothing on this page should be read as a broader guarantee about data handling than what is listed below.
- Visit beacon triggered from search arrivals: when a visitor arrives from a search engine, the page path, the event type, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of any clicked outbound button are sent to a first-party logging point on this domain. This happens only for that kind of arrival, not for every visit.
- Edge analytics endpoint: this data is received and stored in the operator's own logs, on the same domain, and is used only to count page views and clicks on outbound buttons. It is not used for any other purpose.
- Session view flag: a temporary marker is kept in the browser for the current session only, so that a single page view is not counted more than once. It does not persist beyond the session and carries no identifying information.
- One first-party cookie: set only when a visitor arrives from a search engine, this cookie holds nothing but the name of that search engine. It lasts up to one hour and is used only to connect a later outbound-link click back to the search engine that brought the visitor here.
- Location precision: the content delivery network reports the country associated with a request. Nothing more precise than country-level location is collected.
Understand the Static Build and Its Limits
This site is a set of static files served by a content delivery network. That network processes the technical details of every request in its role as the hosting provider, which is a separate function from the visit-counting described above.
- Self-contained pages: every file a page needs — including locally embedded fonts — is served from this domain. No other host is contacted while a page is being displayed.
